Travel by coach from your hotel in Luang Prabang to the Elephant Village, departing at 9.00am. Receive a welcome and short briefing from the Village Manager then enjoy the impressive experience of an elephant ride on a howdah (seat). Basic mahout training is included before another ride to the Elephant Lodge for an overnight stay in the tranquil riverside setting. (L,D)
Day 2 – Elephant Village – Luang Prabang
Set off on an early morning walk to bring the elephants from the jungle back to the Lodge. Watch as they are bathed in the river then, after breakfast take another ride through the jungle to local villages. Return to Luang Prabang by coach arriving around midday. (B)
