Vietnam Culinary Tour 13 Days

Day 1: Arrive Saigon (No Meals)
Please note: this tour can also be done on an independent basis. Please contact us for more details.
Arrive Saigon airport (flight not included). Guided transfer to hotel.
Stay three nights at Bay Hotel Ho Chi Minh (Deluxe room) or Saigon Prince Hotel (Run-Of-House room) in downtown Saigon.

Day 2: When in Saigon (B)
(07:00 am) Start your day like a true Saigonese! Visit bustling morning street coffee stalls, lively outdoor markets, and enjoy Vietnamese bread from one of the city’s oldest stalls. Sip coffee at Saigon’s oldest café, learn about traditional “stocking coffee,” and explore the city’s colourful flower market. Sample snacks and desserts before returning to your hotel.
(14:30 pm) Guided transfer to Saigon Culinary Arts Centre for a hands-on cooking class. Shop for fresh ingredients at a local market, then prepare and enjoy authentic Southern Vietnamese dishes. Return to your hotel around 18:00 pm.

Day 3: Full Day Mekong Delta (B,L)
(07:30 am – 07:50 am) Depart Saigon for a 1.5-hour drive to My Tho. Visit Vinh Trang Pagoda before boarding a boat across Tien River to Tortoise Island. Explore villages, enjoy honey tea, seasonal fruits, and traditional folk music. Take a rowing sampan through shaded canals, visit a coconut candy workshop, and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Saigon around 17:00 pm.

Day 4: Saigon – Hue & Hue Food Tasting (B)
Morning transfer to Saigon airport for flight to Hue (Economy Class flight included). On arrival, guided transfer to hotel.
(15:00 pm) Private culinary tasting tour: visit a “Me Xung” sweet workshop, learn to make Hue specialties (banh beo, banh nam, banh bot loc) at a local home, and finish with Hue royal tea tasting.
Stay two nights at Eldora Hotel (Deluxe City View room) or EMM Hotel Hue (Deluxe room).

Day 5: Hue City Tour (B)
(09:00 am) Boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, then visit the Imperial Citadel, Royal Antique Museum, and a conical-hat making village. Return to your hotel by 12:30 pm.

Day 6: Hue – Ba Na Hill – Hoi An (B)
(08:00 am) Drive to Ba Na Hill. Ride the cable car for panoramic views, visit French villas, suspension bridge, and the Golden Bridge. Explore Linh Ung Pagoda and wine cellars before continuing to Hoi An, arriving around 17:00 pm.
Hoi An’s Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage site, famous for its merchant houses, Japanese Covered Bridge, assembly halls, and colourful markets.
Stay three nights at Emm Hotel Hoi An (Superior room) or Royal Riverside Hoi An Hotel & Spa (Deluxe City View room).

Day 7: Hoi An (B)
Day at leisure.

Day 8: Papa’s Cooking & Fishing Life Tour (B,L)
Morning market visit with your guide, bamboo basket boat ride, crab fishing, and cooking class at Tran Long Restaurant. Prepare and enjoy local dishes before returning to your hotel in the early afternoon.

Day 9: Hoi An – Danang – Hanoi (B)
Transfer to Danang airport for flight to Hanoi (Economy Class flight included). Guided transfer to hotel.
(18:00 pm) Evening street food tour in Hanoi’s Old Quarter: sample pillow cake, fried sweet cakes, pho ga, and banh mi. Visit Dong Xuan night market and finish with Bia Hoi (fresh draft beer). Return to your hotel by 22:00 pm.
Stay two nights at Aurora Central Hotel (Deluxe room) in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

Day 10: Hanoi (B)
(09:00 am) Visit Ba Dinh Square, One Pillar Pagoda, and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (photo stops only), then Train Street. Continue to the Museum of Ethnology (closed Mondays). End with a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter. Return by 12:30 pm.

Day 11: Hanoi – Halong (B,L,D)
(08:10 am – 08:30 am) Group transfer to Halong. Board your cruise and sail among limestone islands. Lunch and dinner on board.
Stay one night on Verdure Lotus Classic Cruise (Deluxe Balcony cabin).
Important: Halong Bay cruise itineraries may be altered or cancelled due to weather or safety regulations.

Day 12: Halong – Hanoi (B,L)
Morning cruising. Check out by 09:30 am, with brunch on board. Disembark before noon and transfer back to Hanoi. Arrive by 15:30 pm.
Stay one night at Aurora Central Hotel (Deluxe room) in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

Day 13: Depart Hanoi (B)
Leisure until private transfer to Hanoi airport (flight not included).
