Angkor & Vietnam
Day 1 – Arrive Siem Reap (No Meals)
Fly from … to Siem Reap. (Flight not included.) On arrival, transfer by private vehicle and driver to your hotel.
Stay three nights at the Hari Residence & Spa Hotel (Deluxe room), or similar, in Siem Reap.
Day 2 – Siem Reap (B)
Morning guided visit to Angkor Wat before large tourist crowds arrive. Continue to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, and the Royal Palace area. Return to freshen up and rest. In the afternoon, drive to Banteay Samre and Banteay Srei, birthplace of Khmer classical architecture, before exploring Ta Prohm Temple, enveloped by giant fig tree roots.
Day 3 – Siem Reap (B)
A day of leisure.
Day 4 – Siem Reap – Saigon (B)
Leisure time until transfer to Siem Reap Angkor International Airport for your flight to Saigon. (Economy class flight booked by InterAsia & included.) On arrival, guided transfer to hotel.
Stay three nights at the Bay Hotel Ho Chi Minh (Deluxe room), or Saigon Prince Hotel (Run-of-House room) in downtown Saigon.
Day 5 – Saigon (B)
Guided city tour of Saigon’s historic landmarks: Notre Dame Cathedral (outside only), Central Post Office, former Presidential Palace, and War Remnants Museum. (Note: some exhibits are graphic.) Experience Saigon’s street coffee culture while learning basic Vietnamese phrases and insights into local life. Afternoon free.
Day 6 – Full Day Mekong Delta (B,L)
Morning departure for My Tho, visiting Vinh Trang Pagoda before boarding a motorboat across Tien River. Explore Tortoise Island in Ben Tre, local villages, honey tea tasting, seasonal fruit, and folk song performances. Continue by rowing sampan through small canals and visit a coconut candy workshop. Lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Saigon in the late afternoon.
Day 7 – Saigon – Hue (B)
Transfer to Saigon airport for morning flight to Hue. (Economy class flight booked by Vietnam Operator.) On arrival, transfer to hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
Stay one night at the Eldora Hotel (Deluxe City View room), or the EMM Hotel Hue (Deluxe room).
Day 8 – Hue – Hoi An (B)
Take a guided boat trip on the Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda, followed by a tour of the Imperial Citadel and Royal Antique Museum. Visit a traditional conical hat-making village before transferring by road to Hoi An via the scenic Hai Van Pass (approx. 3.5 hrs).
Stay three nights at the Emm Hotel Hoi An (Superior room), or Royal Riverside Hoi An Hotel & Spa (Deluxe City View room).
Day 9 – Hoi An (B)
A day of leisure.
Day 10 – Papa’s Cooking & Fishing Life Tour (B,L)
Morning transfer to join a small group tour. Visit a local market, try fishing in bamboo basket boats, and learn traditional fishing customs. Join a cooking class at a local restaurant and enjoy the dishes you prepare. Return to hotel early afternoon.
Day 11 – Hoi An – Danang – Hanoi (B)
Private transfer to Danang airport for your included flight to Hanoi. Guided transfer on arrival. Evening guided street food walking tour through the Old Quarter, sampling dishes such as pillow cake, fried sweet cakes, Pho Ga, and Banh Mi, ending with Bia Hoi at Beer Corner.
Stay two nights at the Aurora Central Hotel (Deluxe room) in Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
Day 12 – Hanoi (B)
Morning city highlights: Ba Dinh Square, One Pillar Pagoda, Hochiminh Mausoleum compound (photo stops only), and Train Street. Visit the Museum of Ethnology (closed Mondays), then enjoy a cyclo ride through the Old Quarter. Afternoon free.
Day 13 – Hanoi – Halong (B,L,D)
Group road transfer to Halong (approx. 2.5 hrs). Board your cruise to explore Halong Bay’s limestone islands. Lunch and dinner served onboard.
Stay one night on the Verdure Lotus Classic Cruise (Deluxe Balcony cabin).
Day 14 – Halong – Hanoi (B,L)
Morning cruise and brunch onboard. Disembark before noon and transfer back to Hanoi by road.
Stay one night at the Aurora Central Hotel (Deluxe room).
