Vietnam Family Holiday with Halong & Ninh Binh 12 Days
Day 1: Arrive Hanoi (No Meals)
Fly to Hanoi. (Flight not included.) On arrival, private guided transfer to hotel.
Stay two nights at the Sommerset Grand Hanoi (hotel with pool).
Day 2: Hanoi (B)
A day of leisure. Evening water puppet show (current show time 17:20–18:20) at Thang Long Water Puppet Theater. Show tickets (1st class seating) are included. Transfers not included; tickets will be provided the previous day by your guide.
Day 3: Hanoi – Halong – Lan Ha Bay (B,L,D)
Be ready in the hotel lobby by 08:10 am for the cruise company’s group road transfer (approx. 2.5 hours via the new highway). Board your boat on arrival for a Halong Bay cruise among limestone islands. Lunch and dinner served onboard.
Stay one night on the Verdure Lotus Classic Cruise (Deluxe Balcony cabin).
Day 4: Lan Ha Bay – Halong – Hanoi (B,L)
Further cruising this morning, disembark before 12noon. Group road transfer back to Hanoi (arrive 15:00–15:30 pm). Balance of the day free.
Stay one night at the Sommerset Grand Hanoi (hotel with pool).
Day 5: Hanoi – Ninh Binh (B)
Private guided transfer (approx. 3 hours) to Trang An Landscape Complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit Hang Mua peak for panoramic views, enjoy lunch at a local eatery, take a boat ride along the Ngo Dong River in Tam Coc, and visit Bich Dong Pagoda.
Stay two nights at the Ninh Binh Hidden Charm Hotel & Resort (hotel with pool).
Day 6: Bai Dinh & Spectacled Bear Sanctuary (B)
Morning visit to Bai Dinh, Southeast Asia’s largest pagoda complex, with highlights including giant bronze statues and panoramic mountain views. Afternoon visit to the Spectacled Bear Sanctuary, established by FOUR PAWS, to learn about rescued bears and wildlife protection.
Day 7: Ninh Binh – Hue (B)
Private transfer to Ninh Binh train station for day train to Hue (ETD 08:19 am, ETA 20:22 pm). (Sleeper Train booked by Vietnam Operator & included. Each passenger has 1 sleeper berth in a 4–6 berth cabin.) On arrival, private transfer to hotel.
Stay two nights at the EMM Hotel Hue (hotel with pool).
Day 8: Hue (B)
Morning at leisure. Afternoon visit to a local NGO supporting Hue’s deaf community, including a paper flower-making workshop. Continue to the Imperial Citadel (UNESCO World Heritage), followed by a conical-hat making village.
Day 9: Hue – Ba Na Hill – Hoi An (B)
Private guided transfer via Hai Van Tunnels to Ba Na Hill. Take the cable car, visit the Golden Bridge, old French villas, Linh Ung Pagoda, and gardens. Afternoon transfer to Hoi An.
Stay three nights at The Pearl Hoi An Resort (hotel with pool, An Bang Beach).
Day 10: Hoi An (B)
A day of leisure.
Day 11: Basket Boat Tour & Cooking Class (B,L)
Morning market visit to shop for ingredients. Take a basket boat ride through coconut forests, learn to row and catch crabs, then enjoy a hands-on cooking class making rice paper, pancakes (banh xeo), and spring rolls. Lunch included. Afternoon return to hotel.
Day 12: Hoi An – Danang (B)
Leisure time until private transfer to Danang airport. (Flight not included.)
