    Vietnam Family Soft Adventure 15 days

    Day 1 – Arrive Hanoi
    On arrival in Hanoi transfer, with guide, to the Hoa Binh Palace Hotel, for a two night stay.
    Day 2 – Hanoi
    Take a short orientation tour of Hanoi by cyclo. Continue by minivan to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Compound viewed from the outside, the Army Museum and Hanoi Hilton Prison. Balance of the day at leisure. In the evening enjoy a traditional water puppet show, followed by welcome dinner at Koto Restaurant, an Australian funded establishment aimed at helping street kids.     Day 3 – Hanoi – Halong
    A highlight of your visit to Vietnam is sure to be your overnight cruise on Halong Bay. Morning private without-guide transfer to Halong, and on arrival board your wooden red-sail junk for a cruise among the rocky limestone islands in the emerald waters of Halong Bay. Enjoy some kayaking this afternoon. Seafood lunch and dinner are served on board. Stay overnight on the Huong Hai cruise boat, in cabins with en-suite. (B,L,D)
    Day 4 – Halong Bay – Hanoi – Hue
    Further cruising around the Halong Bay. Disembark at Halong and direct transfer by private transfer,  without guide, to Hanoi for an evening flight to Hue. On arrival in Hue, private guided transfer to the Pilgrimage Village Resort for a stay of two nights. (B)
    Day 5 – Hue
    Tour Minh Mang Mausoleum, the Citadel and the Forbidden City. Balance of the day at leisure.  (B)
    Day 6 – Hue – Hoi An
    Leave the hotel in the morning for a guided drive to Hoi An via the Clouds Pass, stopping at  Lang Co fishing village, China Beach and the Marble Mountains en route. In the afternoon, take a guided walking tour of the old quarter, visiting the market, the old merchant houses, and the Japanese Bridge. Stay three nights in Hoi An at Vinh Hung Resort, or River Beach Resort. (B)
    Day 7 – Hoi An cooking class
    Private without-guide minivan transfer to Hai Café, the meeting point for the Red Bridge Cooking School. Join a cooking class which includes a visit to the market to select fresh produce. Lunch is at the school. Balance of the day at leisure in Hoi An. Own arrangements back to the hotel.  (B,L)
    Day 8 – Hoi An

    Day 9 – Hoi An – Nha Trang
    Late morning private guided transfer to Danang station for your day train to the coastal resort town of Nha Trang.  On arrival private guided transfer to the Asia Paradise Hotel for a two night stay. (B)
    Day 10 – Nha Trang
    A free day. (B)
    Day 11 – Nha Trang – Saigon & Cu Chi Tunnels
    Morning private without-guide transfer to the airport for your flight to Saigon. On arrival direct transfer, with a guide, to Cu Chi Tunnels.  Visit the incredible underground tunnel network built by Vietnamese guerrilla fighters. Also visit a rice paper making factory at Tan Phu Trung village before the return to Saigon in the afternoon. Stay two nights at the Liberty Central Hotel in Saigon.  (B)
    Day 12 – Dam Sen Water Park
    Morning tour of Saigon to include Notre Dame Cathedral viewed from the outside, the Old Post Office, the former Presidential Palace and the War Museum. Continue with your guide to Dam Sen Water Park, the only water park in Saigon downtown and spend the rest of the day at the park. Park admission fees are included – rides are to be paid direct. (B)
    Day 13 – Saigon to Vinh Long
    Leave the hotel at 6.30 am for a 3-hour private without-guide car drive to Vinh Long. On arrival, meet with your local guide and take a motor boat trip on the Mekong River visiting local businesses producing such things as soy sauce and ceramics, and Van Thanh Temple along the way. Stay overnight at a local home on an island. Accommodation is dormitory style and each bed has mosquito netting. Join your host family for a cooking lesson and prepare dinner together, learning more about their daily life. (B,L,D)
    Day 14 – Vinh Long to Saigon
    Take a sampan ride along An Binh canals. Continue by bicycle on island village roads visiting an ancient house for a Mekong Delta style music performance. Visit also an orchard and/or bonsai garden before travelling by boat to the floating market of Cai Be. Tour the market then return to Saigon by private car transfer, without guide. Stay overnight at the Liberty Central Hotel. (B)
    Day 15 – Depart Saigon
    Time at leisure before transferring, without guide, to the airport for your flight home. (B)
