Brunei, a rainforest covered gem of a country nestled on the northern shores of the island of Borneo, is a refreshing destination offering a richly diverse natural and cultural heritage, a centuries old majestic Royal heritage and an exciting contemporary side of magnificent accommodation, premium golf, and modern and efficient infrastructure.
Day 1 – Arrive Bandar Seri Begawan
You will be met on arrival at Brunei airport and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel.
Stay three nights at your hotel in Brunei.
Day 2 – City tour and Water Village
Seat-in-coach tours. Your morning city tour begins with a pick up from your hotel and includes day time views of the palace, mosques and temples and a visit to the museum and the Morning Market. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the Royal Regalia Museum then embark on a boat ride to visit the Water Village, stopping at a stilt house for a tea break. You may spot some of the wildlife of this area, such as proboscis monkeys, macaques and monitor lizards. Visit Yayasan Shopping Complex before a transfer back to your hotel. (B,L)
Note: Non-Muslims are not permitted to enter the mosques on Thursdays and Fridays or during religious ceremonies. At these times the tour will cover the garden area and compound only.
Day 3 – Ulu Temburong National Park excursion
Seat-in-coach tour. Take a day excursion to the amazing environment of Ulu Temburong National Park, a protected area of mangrove swamps and dense tropical forests. Wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a change of clothes, a hat, sunscreen and insect repellant for the journey which begins by water taxi through a network of rivers and channels around the back of Brunei Bay. After morning tea at Batang Duri travel upstream in traditional longboats through the rapids of Temburong River to the National Park entrance. Your guide will lead you to the canopy walkway for tree top views of the rainforest. A short trek through the forest is followed by a riverside lunch before returning to the city by longboat and water taxi. (B,L)
Day 4 – Depart Brunei
At leisure until a private vehicle transfer to the airport for exit flight. (B)
