BOOKING CONDITIONS

The acceptance of all reservations is subject to these booking conditions, which form a contractual relationship between InterAsia and its clients. Any booking placed with InterAsia implies acceptance of these terms and conditions by the client. It is therefore important that clients understand these booking conditions before making a booking.

RESERVATIONS & PAYMENTS

To make a booking, InterAsia requires names in full (as per passports), date of birth, full passport details, the next of kin’s name and contact details for all passengers, and a pre-departure contact phone number.  Any dietary or seating requests are also to be supplied at booking.

Once a booking has been made, a booking confirmation invoice will be issued that specifies deposits and payment schedules – specified non-refundable deposits will be due to InterAsia within 7 days. The balance is due 60 days prior to departure. Failure to pay by the due date may result in cancellation of the booking. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, payment in full is due immediately upon confirmation. Bookings made within 15 days of departure will be subject to a late booking fee of $50 per booking and pre-payment of all requested arrangements.

LAND ONLY SERVICE FEE

A service fee of $50 per person will apply to land-only bookings of less than four nights duration.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that a comprehensive travel insurance policy be purchased at the time of booking your holiday. Ask your travel agent or InterAsia for details.

CANCELLATIONS & AMENDMENTS

Amendments to confirmed bookings will be subject to a fee of $50 per change.  Within 60 days of departure and once documentation has been issued, amendments may also be subject to cancellation fees.

Should you need to cancel a booking, notification in writing must be made to InterAsia Tours.  The following cancellation fees will apply*:

More than 60 days before departure: Deposit

Less than 60 days before departure: Deposit or 30% of the total land cost plus standard IATA

airline cancellation fees, whichever is greater.

Less than 35 days before departure: 100% of land costs plus standard IATA airline fees

cancellation fees.

No refund will be given for unused or cancelled services once travel has commenced.

* In the event that supplier cancellation conditions are not covered by the above, the supplier’s conditions will prevail.

PRICES

All prices are in Australian dollars, and are based on tariffs and exchange rates current as at 21 November, 2016. Whilst considerable care has been taken to compile the information in this brochure, circumstances may change to necessitate changes in itineraries and cost. Decreases in cost will be passed on to the client, and any increase must be borne by the client, notwithstanding that deposits or full monies may have already been paid. Where applicable, current airfares, pre-payable airport and departure taxes/fuel levies are included, but are subject to variation.

GROUP DEPARTURES

Group departures are subject to minimum passenger numbers and InterAsia have the right to cancel, amend, offer alternative tours, or refunds to clients should the minimum number not be attained.

PASSPORT AND VISA

A valid passport is required for all international travel. You need to ensure that your passport has adequate validity to meet the entry requirements of the countries you intend to visit or transit. Many countries require travellers to have at least six months validity remaining on their passports beyond the period of intended stay, and immigration authorities may refuse entry if you arrive with less than this. Airlines and passenger shipping lines may refuse to carry you if your passport has inadequate validity.

Australian passport holders require a visa to enter China, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. Travellers visiting Tibet will require a China visa and Tibet permit.  No visa is required by Australian passport holders visiting South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore or Malaysia for tourism if staying less than three months. InterAsia will not accept responsibility for passengers who fail to obtain correct travel documents.

GENERAL HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

International touring can involve a considerable amount of walking and stair climbing to take full advantage of the itinerary and it is important that all tour participants have a level of physical fitness that allows them to take part in all activities, without the need of assistance from others. In addition, we recommend that travellers seek advice from a medical practitioner regarding current health requirements, if any, for the countries to be visited.

SAFE TRAVEL CHARTER

We at InterAsia are committed to your travel safety through our full participation in the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade and Australian Federation of Travel Agent’s ‘Charter for Safe Travel’ initiative. We can provide you with the latest safety information on your selected holiday destinations. Official travel advice issued by DFAT is available by calling 1300 555 135 in Australia, or visiting their website www.smartraveller.gov.au – we recommend that you review this information both prior to making a booking, and prior to departure.

NOT INCLUDED IN TOUR PRICE

The tour price does not include travel insurance, passport and visa fees, excess baggage charges, gratuities, laundry, phone calls and other communication costs, drinks, meals not listed in itinerary, and all items of a personal nature.

All forms of transportation and accommodation are provided by independent third parties, and standards and conditions may vary from quoted.  InterAsia has no control over such changes and makes no guarantee regarding this.   Should any independent third party, service provider, hotelier or carrier cancel services or provide different services to those expressly mentioned by InterAsia, the client agrees to have no claim or cause action whatsoever against InterAsia.  All travel documents, vouchers and tickets are issued subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers and all services are subject to the laws of the country where the services are provided.
