Arrive in Beijing and transfer to your hotel for a four night stay.
Day 2 – Great Wall excursion
Travel north of the city to the Ming Tombs and take a stroll past the unique statues of the Sacred Way. Travel on to the Great Wall of China. Marvel at the sight of this amazing construction snaking over the hills and valleys as far as the eye can see. There will be plenty of time to walk on the Wall and take photos. (B,L)
Day 3 – Beijing
Visit the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven. Tour the Hutong’s ancient narrow streets and visit a courtyard-style family residence. Tonight attend a colourful acrobatic performance. (B,L,D)
Day 4 – Beijing
Visit the Summer Palace in its delightful lakeside setting before visiting the Olympic Green to see such new landmarks as the Water Cube and Bird’s Nest. A small admission cost applies if you wish to enter the stadiums. (B,L)
Day 5 – Depart Beijing
Transfer to the airport for exit flight. (B)
