Day 1 – Arrive Bangkok
Meet your local guide on arrival at Bangkok airport and transfer to your hotel by private car, with the guide. Stay four nights at your hotel in Bangkok.
Day 2 – Bangkok
(Seat-in-coach tour) Take a morning tour of the Royal Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha with its solid green jade Buddha image. Afternoon at leisure (B)
Day 3 – River Kwai day tour
(Seat-in-coach tour) Drive two hours to Kanchanaburi and the legendary River Kwai. Visit the Thai-Burma Railway Centre & War Museum, the war cemetery then take a scenic boat ride along three rivers, the Maeklong, the Kwai Noi and Kwai Yai and view the world famous River Kwai Bridge. After lunch take an historic train ride on the Death Railway, passing lush forest and the original wooden viaducts built by prisoners of war during WW II, before returning to Bangkok. (B,L)
Day 4 – Damnoen floating market
(Seat-in-coach tour) Travel by coach to Damnoen Saduak for the lively and colourful floating market. Enjoy the sights and sounds of this bustling market before continuing to the Rose Garden for a Thai lunch and cultural performance of dance and martial arts. (B,L)
Day 5 – Depart Bangkok
