Day 1 – Arrive Saigon
Arrive Saigon and transfer to your hotel. Stay three nights at the Lavender Boutique Hotel.
Day 2 – Saigon and Cu Chi Tunnels
Take a morning city tour of dynamic Saigon. In the afternoon drive to Cu Chi to visit the incredible underground tunnel network built by Vietnamese guerrilla fighters. (B)
Day 3 – Ben Tre in depth
Full day visit to the watery world of Ben Tre Province in the Mekong Delta. Visit a handmade brick factory before boarding a boat to cruise the waterways. Shore excursions include coconut candy, chopstick and mat weaving workshops. A tuk-tuk takes you to an orchard to sample tropical fruits, followed by lunch and a sampan ride along the palm fringed waterways. (B,L)
Day 4 – Saigon – Danang – Hoi An
Fly to Danang this morning. Stop to visit the Marble Mountains on the transfer to Hoi An. Your guide will take you on a short walking tour of ancient town centre to visit the local market and the 400 year old Japanese Covered Bridge. Stay two nights at the Kiman Hotel. (B)
Day 5 – Cooking class
Take a class at the Red Bridge Cooking School. Select fresh produce from the market before boarding a boat to cruise along the Thu Bon River to the cooking school for a hands-on culinary experience, preparing a feast for your lunch. Afternoon at leisure. (B,L)
Day 6 – Hoi An – Hue
Travel to Hue across the scenic Cloud Pass. Visit the Tu Duc Mausoleum and the Citadel. Stay one night at the Romance Hotel. (B)
Day 7 – Hue – Hanoi
Morning flight to Hanoi and balance of the day at leisure. Stay two nights at the Skylark Hotel or Hong Ngoc Dynasty Hotel. (B)
Day 8 – Hanoi
Tour Hanoi, visiting the One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Compound viewed from outside, Museum of Ethnology or the Temple of Literature, and a local market. Afternoon at leisure. (B)
Day 9 – Hanoi – Halong
Halong Bay, a World Heritage Site, is comprised of over 3000 lim estone islands soaring out of emerald green waters. Travel to Halong to board your cruise boat for an unforgettable overnight cruise on the bay. Stay one night on the Aclass Legend cruise boat.(B,L,D)
Day 10 – Halong – Hanoi
Further cruising on the bay before travelling back to Hanoi and your hotel. Stay one night at the Skylark Hotel or Hong Ngoc Dynasty Hotel. (B)
Day 11 – Depart Hanoi
Tour concludes with a transfer to the airport. (B)
