Cruising along the Mekong River on the Bassac Junk is one of the best ways to discover the riches of the region.  The boat departs Monday, Wednesday and Saturday from Can Tho, or the tour operates in reverse from Cai Be on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.

• Itinerary

  Day 1 – Saigon – Can Tho – Vinh Long
  Leave Saigon early for a 5 hour drive, without guide, to Can Tho. On arrival, board the Bassac Junk. A welcome drink is followed by a brief introduction to the boat and cabin crew. Cruise downstream on the Hau River towards Tra On and its floating market. Cruise along the Mang Thit and Co Chien Rivers, lunching onboard. Walk through some riverbank villages then continue to the My Thuan Bridge, Vinh Long. Dinner and overnight on board the Bassac.  (L,D)
  Day 2 – Vinh Long – Cai Be – Saigon
  Breakfast at sunrise as you approach the sights and sounds of the Cai Be floating market. Disembark at Cai Be and tour local family businesses making popcorn and rice cakes. Transfer back to Saigon by private vehicle, without guide. (B)
