Day 1 – Arrive Phnom Penh
Meet your driver for the transfer from the airport to your hotel. Stay two nights in Phnom Penh.
Day 2 – Phnom Penh
A tour of the city includes visits to the Central Market, Silver Pagoda, the Royal Palace and Wat Phnom, with time to reflect on the Khmer Rouge legacy at the Toung Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields. (B)
Day 3 – Phnom Penh – Siem Reap
Travel by road to Siem Reap, a journey of around five hours. Stop at Skun village en route to see the tarantula eaters! Stay three nights in Siem Reap. (B)
Day 4 – Siem Reap
Begin exploration of the Angkor complex with visits to the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the Bayon, Ba Phoun, the Elephant and Leper King Terraces, and the Royal Palace area. Also visit the enchanting Ta Prohm Temple which is enveloped by the roots of enormous fig trees. In the afternoon continue to explore magnificent Angkor Wat and remain to view the sunset. (B)
Day 5 – Tonle Sap excursion
Visit a floating village on Tonle Sap Lake. Cruise the waterways observing the diverse lifestyle of the floating community. Continue by road to Angkor Silk Farm and follow each step of the silk process. More handicrafts are on show at Artisans d’Angkor where the focus is on training unschooled rural youth in traditional craft making skills. This evening see a performance of the Phare Circus, an incredible mix of modern theatre, dance and acrobatics telling the story of Cambodian lives and society. (B)
Day 6 – Depart Siem Reap
